TadHealth: An Emerging Mental Health Startup

TadHealth is one of the top mental health startups in 2023. After launching in 2021, the company successfully provided mental health help for customers despite the obstacles of the pandemic. TadHealth’s founder Ben Greiner explained how he was able to effectively develop this platform. As well as the process of providing integrated solutions for crisis prevention, virtual care, and long-term well-being for customers.

Tadhealth, “is centered around creating a better experience when students seek mental health support. Because the company started in 2021, I knew it was something we had to start as a remote team. All of these businesses were spiraling due to the economic decline brought on by COVID,” Greiner stated.

“Due to this, and by the circumstance of our head of product being in Silicon Valley, and I was in Southern California we started our venture in different locations,” Greiner expressed. The company then decided to hire medical advisors that could work remotely, and still be effective for the business during that time.

The response from customers on Greiner’s decision to make this business a largely remote platform to allow for more accessible mental health care was positive. According to Greiner, “It actually helped us in the sense that we were building digital tools since schools had already transitioned to Zoom. It made sense to offer resources that were virtual but could also be in-person in the future.” Greiner’s goal for the company to create a customized experience for counseling centers and students succeeded during the pandemic.

Currently, TadHealth aids multiple organizations such as the Suicide Awareness Voices of Education and Beverly Hills High School. At the same time, broadening in-person mental health help through its digital platform. TadHealth has all of the resources its customers need and has developed a proprietary technology that can change how customers access crisis resources.

This business approach gave students, organizations, and districts a digital wellness space to manage mental health care and find resources. Furthermore, Greiner started the company based on a personal experience, “my best friend was at a point of crisis in college, and I was the one he reached out to. That really inspired me to want to create better access points for students, especially during the pandemic,” Greiner said.
